Everyone at The Mortgage Dog is delighted that we’ve been shortlisted in a category in the Mortgage Introducer Awards.

We are one of 10 mortgage brokers in the UK to be shortlisted for The Optimus Award for Broker Firm of the Year.

The annual awards are the highlight of the industry’s calendar. And it means our Managing Director is travelling to London in November for a glittering awards ceremony.

What are the Mortgage Introducer Awards

The Mortgage Introducer Awards take place every year, celebrating excellence in the UK mortgage industry. Recognising the achievements or mortgage lenders, brokers, distributors and individuals, they are backed by some of the industry’s biggest names.

In 2024, there are a range of categories. These include Broker Firm of the Year, Best Specialist Lender and Mortgage Lender of the Year. Also, the awards recognise individual achievements with categories including Rising Star of the Year.

With more than 29 categories, the awards evening is the biggest event for the UK mortgage industry.

What the awards mean to us

We were delighted when we were told we had been shortlisted for The Optimus Award for Broker Firm of the Year.

Our Managing Director Daniel Field says, “I was absolutely over the moon to receive the email that said The Mortgage Dog was one of the awards top 10 mortgage brokers in the UK.

“This is a fantastic testament to the hard work of the team here. I launched The Mortgage Dog in 2017 and to be shortlisted after just seven years in the industry is a massive achievement.

“I’m very excited to be arranging to attend the awards ceremony in London. I hope I’ll be bringing the title back to the North East. I’m very positive. But even if we don’t take the title, this shortlisting gives our clients the knowledge we’re one of the best mortgage brokers in the UK.”

The awards take place at a glamorous ceremony in London’s Westminster on 26th November. Everyone at our Washington office is keeping their fingers crossed!
